Mondays in the Sun
Synopsis
In a coastal city to the north of Spain, bursting at the seams thanks to industrial development, a group of men roam its steep and winding streets day in and day out, looking for their emergency exits. They tightrope-walk their way to the end of the month, with no safety net and no audience, no clapping after the finale; they live their lives on a thin line of unstable employment, surviving because of their small joys and routines.
Winner of five Goya Awards, including Best Film, and winner of the Concha de Oro for Best Film at the San Sebastian International Film Festival
